Why Have my Drains Become Blocked?

Blockages usually occur from waste being flushed down the drainage system; ranging from hair in the shower, grease and fat in the kitchen and excessive amounts of toilet paper and un-biodegradable items (such as sanitary towels and nappies) down the toilet. In other cases, blocked drains can be as a result of hidden problems such as structural defects. Problems such as these can be resolved by our team of fully trained engineers, equipped with the tools and know-how to fix these issues promptly. In addition, we offer a 24/7 call out service in case the problems are severe, we are here to act on your beck and call.

How Long Will it Take for my Drains to Become Unblocked?

It is difficult to gauge the severity of a problem until one of our engineers can assess the problem. Most problems can be spotted swiftly then we aim to fix this problem as quickly as possible.

Is there a way to find out?

It is relatively straightforward to find out if the problems are confined to your property by requesting a plan of the drainage from the Local Water Authority. This will show you if you do have troubles with your drainage within your property boundaries or if this is an issue that relates to your neighbour.

Should I Seek to Get CCTV to Assess any Other Problems?

If you are conscious about certain problems that have a habit of re-occurring on a relatively regular basis, then we would recommend getting a CCTV assessment. Strange odours lurking around the drains, toilets habitually getting blocked and waste struggling to get flushed down the toilet are the three most common sources of drainage problems; however, it is naive to think these are the only ones. A CCTV survey will allow us to quickly identify the problem and we can provide you with a DVD of the drainage along with a report, which states the problems in basic terms. In addition, there will be a free quotation provided to give you an idea of the cost of addressing the problem.

Will I Have to Pay for a Call Out Charge If I Need an Emergency Visit?

In the event of an emergency visit, we will respond to your call within an hour. Additionally, there is no call out charge for any of the services that we provide. What you are quoted by the engineer will be the price you pay; therefore you will not encounter any hidden fees.
