Should you block up a hole that a squirrel is using? Squirrels can be a persistent pest, they can climb well and jump long distances so find it easy to access our roof areas, especially if we have trees close by or overhanging. The most common squirrel complaint is that they have gained access to loft spaces and are causing chaos! Squirrels will often build their nest (called a Dray) using loft insulation by rolling it into a ball. In doing so, they can make a lot of noise and potentially pull up electrical cables or damage pipework.
