Often common on condenser dryers, but can also happen on vented dryers also. For a condenser dryer the fluff flitter or heat exchange may be blocked. The fluff filter should be cleaned before every load. To clean the condenser unit run the tap or hose pipe through the exchange every three months, this will allow air to flow freely around the dryer and dry your clothes. For Vented dryers there could be a blockage at the base of the filter which can block the air flow. To reduce this clean the filter after every load. For vented dryers the fluff filter should be cleaned after every use. For condenser models the condenser unit needs to be cleaned every two to three months by running water through it either with a tap, or with the hose pipe. The water bottle and fluff filter should be emptied after every use. Failure to do this may result in your appliance not performing at its full potential either by not drying clothes properly or overheating due to lack of air circulation.

All washer dryers need to be treated like a washing machine rather than a tumble dryer, even though they have a drying function. There is no extra pipes, bottles or filters like on a dryer. There is no fluff filter however when the dryer has been used, fluff can build up around the door seal, this can be removed with your hand or a damp cloth.
