The original layout of this family home featured a small porch with two connection doors. To the North of the porch was a storage space with a side entrance and turning left from the porch led directly into the main structure of the property. Stairs went from the hallway to the upstairs bedrooms, with a lounge to the left and a bathroom to the right on the ground floor. The plan was to build a side extension to open up the layout allowing for easier access between the rooms on the ground floor. In turn this created a larger kitchen with new patio doors, with the old bathroom moved from its position. This also meant you could walk out of the kitchen directly into the hallway and through into the lounge. The actual extension made the porch space significantly larger and a double-door cupboard created new storage space. The new bathroom was relocated to the rear of the extension, which was also large enough to include a shower.
