This relatively simple two storey front extension was added to the property without impacting on the available parking spaces. With a garage and parking areas already in place at the rear and along the side of the house, building a more prominent entrance to the home still allowed for easy access. On the ground floor, the existing hallway lead through to the lounge, kitchen and stairs towards the next level upstairs. With the extension built the hallway was now longer and allowed for a downstairs WC to be added to the front of the house, along with the installation of a new window to the right of the front door. There was also space for a new cupboard just in front of the stairway which helped solve some storage issues for the owners. There were three bedrooms on the floor above, with one positioned immediately over the entrance to the property. This was originally the smallest of the three but the extension ensured the dimensions of the room almost doubled in size. Two new windows were also installed to ensure there would be sufficient natural light coming into the space.
