A three bedroom family home required a two storey side extension to create some new rooms in the house and open up an existing space. The entrance was positioned on the left hand side of the property, with the lounge immediately to the right. The extension meant the ground floor lounge would become larger and two new windows also meant more light would help to expand the space further. The dining room was at the far end of the lounge although there was no direct entrance through to the kitchen. This was changed to allow easier access between the two rooms. The last part of the extended space downstairs was filled with the creation of a play room next door to the dining area. Upstairs, a new cupboard was built next to an existing storage space and the largest bedroom was reduced in size with a new entrance constructed to accommodate a new hallway. This led through to the extension on the right hand side of the property which became the fourth bedroom. Two new windows were installed along with an en suite bathroom at the rear of the house.
