At Cutwood Joinery, we recently fabricated and installed a bespoke timber pergola in South Ayrshire with composite decking for a client seeking an open yet covered outdoor space for seating and enjoying their expansive garden area. The project involved foundational digging, securing cemented posts, using durable composite decking boards, and treated timber posts with 3-metre rafters. We installed a Firestone rubberised roof with a 25-year guarantee, tongue and groove interior roof lining, a horizontal paneled fence, and a gutter and down pipe system to repurpose rainwater for gardening. We successfully sourced FSC-certified materials locally, meeting the client’s requirements, resulting in a durable and aesthetically pleasing structure that exceeded their expectations.
