Please get in touch if you have a similar project. When my client saved this ottoman from going to landfill, it was in desperate need of some TLC. But they recognised its potential and contacted me to bring it back to life. They asked me to repair and repaint it, and create a replacement seat cushion upholstered using leftover fabric to match a window blind. The frame and woodwork of the seat/lid were in a poor state, so I took this apart and stripped it back to the bones, securing it back together and replacing the hinges. I added a solid MDF base to replace a cardboard one that had seen better days! After cleaning the beautiful weave, a few spray coats of Ash Fusion Mineral Paint UK completely transformed its appearance. The dark colour really allows the fabric to pop. A new, freshly upholstered seat cushion finished with piping completes the new look.
