The following watchpoints should be adhered to during this time. * The screed can be walked on 24-48 hours after application dependant on site conditions with normal site traffic and erection of non-load bearing partitions after 7 days. * It is necessary to ensure that the building is sealed and protected from weather conditions by using windows, doors, or by applying plastic sheeting to all openings. If there are any glass windows or doors in the screeded area, they should be shielded from direct sunlight during the curing process. * A liquid screed is not a wearing surface, and protection from other construction trades may be necessary for areas of heavy use such as loading bays. * The floor covering, such as tiles or wood flooring, can be applied to the screed once it has completely dried. A Cemfloor screed with a thickness of 50mm will dry within 21 days, while a 75mm screed will be dry in 28 days (assuming proper aftercare instructions have been adhered to). * Cemfloor screed does not require sanding as it does not produce a laitance as other screeds do. * Any primer or adhesive is suitable for Cemfloor screed * The flooring installer is responsible for all prep works being carried out sufficiently prior to flooring installation.
