4 Bedroom, 3 bathroom cottage in Lincolnshire - DCR were asked to design and install a low temperature, high efficiency, HVO ready heating system including a new oil tank and oil tank location. We had to install a fire rated oil tank in a new location to comply with Oftec oil regulations. A Tuffa fire resistant tank was used for the installation to provide a reliable and safe method of storing oil. This tank is manufactured with a 30 minute fire rating providing that extra peace of mind for fire safety and fuel storage. The ground floor has underfloor heating throughout the property and radiators on the first floor, hot water cylinder, external warm flow agentis oil boiler. We also included a towel radiator circuit for independent use in the warmer months where heating isn’t required. The Warmflow agentis oil boiler was chosen for its reliability and high efficiency. The boiler is HVO ready and suitable to be sited externally. We designed the oil heating system to incorporate multiple zones for efficiency and to improve comfort and control for the homeowner. Hot water is supplied to the property from a high pressure unvented warmflow hot water cylinder which has been designed and installed inside the airing cupboard. The warmflow cylinder has rapid recovery and supplies 300litres of hot water via a bronzed circulation system that is timed for efficiency, providing the homeowner with an abundance of hotwater that is delivered quickly at all outlets.
