Are there any grants available for the installation of an Eco Air Boiler heat pump?

The Eco Air Boiler is an MCS accredited heat pump. you will be paid on the eligible heat used from your Air Source Heat Pump and payments are made based on your EPC (Energy Performance Certificate)

I am a provider of social housing; what could an Eco Air Boiler heat pump do for me?

Air source heat pumps can play a major role in meeting carbon reduction targets and eliminating fuel poverty they also help to improve EPC ratings. High performance Eco Air Boilers can be scaled to deliver dedicated single property solutions through to district provision of heating and hot water. Retro fitting is simple and causes minimal disruption, fitting into most existing systems and allowing eco upgrades to be staged. They are designed and built in the UK to offer up to 400% efficiency, generating up to 4 times the heat output of the electrical input, this is micro generation through renewable energy.

Can an Eco Air Boiler heat pump link to solar panels?

Eco Air Boiler heat pumps have up to 400% efficiency, requiring as little as 1kW h of electricity for every 4kW h of heat energy generated. This renewable energy generation reduces your carbon emissions from your heating and hot water dramatically. To offset the effects of the generation of the electricity used, solar panels as part of a Heat and Power System are an ideal and allowable solution in the process of creating zero carbon homes. Any electricity generated by solar panels is eligible for the Feed In Tariff.

Do I have to install under floor heating with an Eco Air Boiler heat pump?

Though under floor heating is an ideal method of delivering heat to your property from an Eco Air Boiler heat pump, it is not a necessity. The effectiveness of any existing or planned radiators or heat delivery systems will be assessed as part of the no obligation consultation and site survey before we provide you with a quote for your new system. As an MCS accredited manufacturer and installer of our own heat pumps, Global Energy Systems can provide a full assessment, specification and installation service, ensuring that your renewable energy solution is tailored to your needs.

Does an Eco Air Boiler heat pump work in a power cut?

Unfortunately no, just as any other boiler an Eco Air Boiler heat pump requires electricity to drive the central heating pump and thus would not operate in a power cut. The Eco Air Boiler is fitted with a failsafe device to provide hot water if the pump has a mechanical failure.
