This week we serviced a Vokera Easi Heat 25c Combi Boiler. The boiler was 8 years and hadn't had a heat exchanger and burner seal change in that time. It was constantly blocking up before the trap so it was decided to give it a good clean and wash through. Initially we dismantled the fan and the burner housing whichcan be awkward to do due to the position of some of the screws but absolutely necessary to get to the inside of the heat exchanger and the burner seal. We cleaned the fins with a this steel brush and thenwe first cleaned through with very cheap cola. The oxide deposits are dissolved by the cola and then we attached a hose at the outlet to drain away. The acidity and fizzy action of the cola helps to shifts the oxde deposits. Once this done we then washed the heat exchanger with around 4 litres of water to remove any cola residue.
