Take a look at my latest Google review and new client story on my website for this lovely project! Nathalie and husband honeymooned in Bali and she contacted me to help recreate a Bali bedroom vibe for their new house as a retreat from the outside world and reminder of their wonderful holiday. As you enter the room, the bedroom’s small private hallway promotes a feeling of intimacy. To maintain the soothing mood we chose a delicate sage green and a soft, fresh green - both hitting the brief exactly! Folding screens are a feature in Asian design and I created versions of light and dark wood slat wardrobes to add to the coastal ambience. Furniture was added in a mix of natural wood and rattan and a simple bed minus a pretentious headboard with a subtle geometric wallpaper panel highlighted the rattan headboard. Not wanting to overdo accessories, we simply added delicate metal lighting, a few plants and baskets, folk heritage rugs, natural dyed bed linen and that was it! We both wanted the finished result to have a look and feel of warmth, relaxation and comfort. Nathalie loves it, I love it and I hope you do too!
