We are thrilled to have submitted to Kirklees Council 02 detached dwellings on the former Ice cream parlour site in #Huddersfield nThe 02 dwellings take precedent from the existing 1.5 storey bungalow (to be demolished) and existing new build dwelling along the street scene. nnPlot 01_ nIs a 5 bedroomed, 5000 Square foot dwelling 1.5 storeys in form to the front and 2.5 storeys to the rear. The front has the luxury of a recessed entrance allowing 02 gable fronted projections that provide the ‘appearance’ of 02 storey property. The rear image is simply a play of ‘push and pull’ with the building volumes and reverses the thinking at the front of the dwelling to provide 02 modest roof dormers in line with the existing bungalow, but then allowing a central projection with large expanse of glazing to fill the triple height atrium internally. All internal rooms on the ground floor have front to rear open spaces to provide double viewing from front to rear to take advantage of the stunning vistas. nThe differing land typography allows for 2.5 storeys to the rear providing an outside terrace at ground floor across the whole of the rear of the property whilst the lower ground floor provides expanse external living area and permitting inside and outside interaction. nnPlot 02_nIs a 4 bedroomed, 5000 Square foot dwelling 1.5 storeys in form to the front and 2.5 storeys to the rear. nThe design emphasis for plot 02 maintains the same design themes as plot 01 - the front of plot 02 reverses the role to that of Plot 01 having a protruding entrance with set back dormers providing the true feel of a 1.5 storey property.
