It’s hard to believe that it’s been 6 years since I left the corporate world to join my wife, Jo, in her kitchen design business. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Since then we’ve completed over 150 projects of every shape, size and style, ranging from kitchens and utility rooms to gorgeous wine rooms and media units. We’ve built a fantastic and utterly indispensable team (our designers, Wiktoria and Jessica, ops manager, Antoinette, and office and procurement manager, Cat), moved into premises in Tilford, featuring a small but lovely showroom and built relationships with dozens of architects, builders, project managers, trades, fitters and suppliers. What we do isn’t rocket science and, set against the challenges and problems facing the world, pales into insignificance. But bringing together great design, great products and then delivering it all with the very best service we possibly can still takes a huge amount of creativity, hard work, passion and, above all, teamwork. So I’d like to say a huge thank you to our team and all the lovely clients and great people with whom we have the privilege of working. I’d also like to say a special thank you to Jo for letting me join her business, for sacrificing those mid-week bike rides with her friends to work on the business with me and for continuing to be the creative heart of Chisholm Design.
