Not at all fun!! this has been a challenge from the start, contractors removed the lawn ready for our installation- previously installed weed membrane just under the existing surface clay over the entire area, the new lawn will never grow!! weed barrier!! we would always advise not to use anywhere in your garden- it doesn't allow water to penetrate through,( try it its pointless) if you install it on uneven ground water runs straight off to the lowest point, preventing individual plants getting anything, also prevents the addition of compost to the soil. this is why we always suggest mulching the planting areas and irrigation drip pipe, this prevents weeds, helps with natural habitat , and most importantly retains the soil moisture, this saves water reducing the irrigation running times.
