Due to its robust structural properties, our 20mm engineered wood flooring is ideal for installation in conjunction with under-floor heating systems and in areas of fluctuating humidity. Our engineered floorboards have a generous 5mm top layer of sustainably sourced French Oak. This real oak top layer is bonded, using a high quality D4 adhesive, onto a base of 15mm multi-layer plywood. This results in a hardwood floor that is far more tolerant to changes in temperature and relative humidity. Our 20mm engineered wood floors can be secret nailed or screwed onto joists or battens to form a structural, load-bearing floor. The boards can also be easily floated onto a solid sub-floor using an appropriate underlay.
