All The Floors was extremely pleased to work on refurbishing the RSPB’s HQ — not just because the RSPB is such a respected organization, but because, like us, they follow a Green agenda. Our primary goal was to align our flooring services with the values of the RSPB – minimizing the effect on the environment – while installing 2,360m2 of flooring tiles over two floors at their head office in Sandy, Bedfordshire. To keep the process as sustainable as possible, we carefully lifted and packaged the old tiles so they could be sent away, professionally cleaned, and then refitted in charity environments. Working closely with green supplier and manufacturer Forbo, we fitted their Tessera Cloudscape tiles – in Sirocco Blue – which are made of 61% recycled materials. Complementing the green ethos, the idea of the cloudscape design was to bring nature indoors. We were all thrilled with the results and are very happy to say the RSPB is now a valued repeat client — so much so that we’ve just completed nearly another 1,000m2 in their adjacent office building: going for the same range in the Thunderbolt colour.
