Some times its the simplest thing and you don't need a Building Surveyor to tell you the reason for damp internally. A recent property we have been out to and found the lower rear wall saturated. The house is solid wall construction [not cavity] and the gutters have been leaking for a prolonged time e.g.,years. When taking images from the air with the drone, the gutters are basically, hanging baskets, flower beds and allowing water to discharge onto the solid wall face. Cyclical maintenance is a must for all structures or they will fail.
