CASE STUDY - Primary School Revit Model Encompass were instructed to construct a BIM-ready survey model of a Primary School, incorporating specific client requirements including position & dimensions of various fittings & fixtures. The process included a high volume laser scan, to create a detailed 3D point cloud for our Revit team to construct the model. The data was attributed to a control network installed on site using our GPS systems with a loop traverse to confirm true dimensional control of position and level for our scan & model. Our in house Revit team utilised BIM Collaborate Pro to increase the efficiency and connectivity between our various Revit technicians working on the project. The team also created custom window, door, beam and cornice families to achieve the level of detail required. The ceiling and roof were particularly challenging elements due to the complexity of their shape. Our delivered model meets all specific requirements set by our client, is suitable for proffesionals in the architecture and engineering fields to aid in planning and ideation. Another project delivered on time by our Revit team, utilising the latest in Scan to BIM technology.
