This is a job that we completed early on last year. We received an enquiry call from a customer who had been let down by another contractor who had been tasked with building a retaining wall. The job was abandoned leaving a complete mud bath! nnWe came to the rescue and took on the retaining wall. We completed the footing excavation and set the concrete footing. We constructed a 9” wall, complete with drainage to the rear of the wall. The wall was tanked and finished with coping stones. During the works on the wall we discovered the existing patio had been previously installed too high covering the air bricks and dpc causing rising damp to the house, also we found exposed drains and incorrectly fitted channel drains. We were then asked to rip it all out and install a new porcelain patio to the correct height and install new channel drainage and manhole covers. We built timber sleeper planters and re-turfed the garden.
