Sustainable Garden Design The opportunity to redesign and renovate a garden is always an exciting project, but it also comes with its fair share of envirnomental impact. From the removal and disposal of waste, to the origin and impact of new materials, it all adds up to alot of materials, resources and energy. So how can we build new gardens whilst also minimsing the impact? At Cultivate Gardens we have always been focussed on helping our clients to understand the impact of their choices, and so empowering them to make informed decisions. We research the provenance of the materials; reuse, recycle or Freecycle as much waste as possible; and design our planting schemes to be both beautful and beneficial to nature. Our owner and founder Ben Cijffers, studied Ecology & Conservation and has worked in both nature conservation and business sustainability, so when you work with us you know its not just talk. What can I expect from the consultation appointment?

Our surveyor will typically spend one hour with you to discuss your needs and offer their expert advice on landscaping your garden or driveway construction. This meeting is to establish your desired style and use of the area, type of materials and budget to ensure the proposal is tailored to your specification. Following the consultation, you will receive a bespoke landscaping proposal which includes the project summary and breakdown of fees.

Is it possible to design a section of the garden?

Yes, it is possible to redevelop one element of your garden. This could include a large patio area, planting scheme, driveway, or garden structures for example. Summit is also happy to create a design that can be implemented in stages.

What services do you offer?

We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of services catering to commercial and private garden projects from design concept to landscape construction. Will there be a mess during the project?

We aim to keep our work area as tidy as possible. Although most driveways and gardens require excavations, this is executed as neatly as possible. We fully understand the stress and disruption to a property that can come with landscaping work, so always do our best to clean up at the end of each day and keep disruption to the rest of the property to an absolute minimum.
