PLANNING APPROVED!nnThe redundant former URC Chapel in Welsh Frankton has been stood empty for a few years. Our design to convert it into a unique dwelling has been approved following in-depth consultation with the conservation team at Shropshire Council. The scheme design has been carefully considered to protect a beautiful memorial tree on the site and restore the chapel. The plan is to demolish the existing boxy extension and respectfully retain and enhance the original stone building and porch, reusing the stained glass and maintaining the original features including the roof trusses. The house will have a ridge lantern allowing light to flow in from above with a mezzanine floor over half of the ground floor, leaving half the ground floor with a spectacular vaulted, double height space. So exciting to breathe new life into this ethereal space.
