This diseased cherry tree situated on the corner of a playing field, had become a hazard, with a high risk of dropping large, heavy limbs at any moment. We have reduced it back to only the trunk, a practise known as "monolithing", so that the valuable decaying wood can still be utilised as habitat for insect and anima life. Its a practise we strongly recommend and aim to encourage not only in our own customers but among other tree workers.
