When a customer called us to solve a rat problem in their garage, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Rats always have a point of origin or source and you need to try and locate the reservoir of activity. By locating the source of the problem you make targeted and effective rat control fast and often permanent. As soon as we arrived it was clear what the source of the activity was, but we carried out a thorough check just to be sure. The drain inspection chamber pictured was on the driveway. Lifting the lid revealed that the chamber was just six inches deep! Rats were quite literally walking straight out of the sewer through the defective frame and wandering under the garage door just a few metres away. This is a fantastic example of how simple it is to solve some rat problems. Following repair, the rat issue was gone forever and of course, the customer was delighted. Always check inspection chambers and gullies for burrows or breaks that would give rats an easy exit. It might just solve your rat problem too.
