Recently, we were thrilled to celebrate International Women's Day here at Drummond Heating. It served as a stark reminder that women only make up a mere 15.8% of the workforce in the construction industry. Even more disproportionately, women constitute just 2% of the professionals in the heating sector. Amid the 100,000 Gas Safe registered engineers, fewer than 500 are women - a statistic that is both surprising and disappointing. During our celebration, we held meaningful discussions about the role Drummonds can play in encouraging more women to join our industry. We passionately believe in the potential of creating our own unique platform for female apprentices, providing them with opportunities to climb the engineering ladder. Watch this space!
