Drains can get blocked due to a wide variety of reasons: a damaged drain, a poorly designed drainage run, fat deposits that have collected within the inner bore of the pipe or root infiltration. Human error through putting items not designed to be flushed into the drainage system can cause issues. Drainage problems can also be exasperated by weather conditions.

Typically if a drain rod is not too far into the drain and by using a bit of persistence and some skill we can hook the jetter around the rod and bring it back to the surface. This usually works but occasionally excavation work will be necessary to remove the rod.
