Have you heard the recent radio campaign encouraging social housing tenants to make a complaint to their landlord? I often tune into Capital Radio as I am driving between inventory inspections and check-ins and check-outs and recently, I have heard this radio advert on a number of occasions. I was interested to read this week an article in Landlord News about the nature of the campaign and what it is trying to achieve. I haven’t seen it on social media, but it is also apparently running on Next Door, but I haven’t come across it yet not that I am a big user of that local platform, have you? The advertising campaign is called ‘Make it Right’ and is primarily aimed at encouraging tenants to complain to their landlord and if they don’t get a satisfactory response to then take their complaint to the Housing Ombudsman! That all sounds well and good, but some of these processes can take months and if you ask social housing tenants they just can’t be bothered as they don’t think they won’t be listened to anyway.
