Do you know someone, or are you aware of someone that may need help, advice or care but is too proud to ask?nnThis week, Emma & I have been cleaning, clearing and preparing a property for a man who is returning to his flat having been under the watchful eye of our wonderful health service for the last 6 months. He is now 'in the system' and now has a care-worker assigned to monitor him and help him get the care he needs.nnToday, I met a man who is quite clearly vulnerable and needs help. He has no family to speak of, and having had two strokes, he has limited mobility.nnAs I looked over his shoulder into his home, I could see that he needs help - with everything - desperately. I chatted for half an hour with him, and he agreed that I could at least start the ball rolling, and as such I have made a referral to Hampshire County Council Adult Services, to raise my concerns for him.nnHe simply admitted that he was too embarrassed, and too proud to ask for help. He is an ex- semi pro footballer and was a very keen golfer, and now he is on his own, living in squalor and wearing dirty clothes, in desperate need of a haircut and a shave. nnI almost burst out crying.nnIf you know of someone - don't wait, I'm not going to ....nn...
