FAQs

What type of concrete do you supply?

We can supply various mixes of concrete from our volumetric concrete mixer vehicles at any one time, we arrive on site and position the vehicle as close to the location of the pour and create the mix/type of concrete you require there and then. Most architects will advise which mix/type they require for the build or development in question, but if in doubt we can advise you based on the application.

How much does concrete cost?

Concrete prices are dependent on the type/mix required, location and sometimes day/time. Please contact our offices for prices as every pour is different and we can discuss your requirements and quote accordingly.

Do I need to do anything in advance of your arrival?

In most cases no, we do ask that you ensure access is available if you are in a difficult location. If you have ordered pump and supply, we would recommend letting immediate neighbours know that we will be arriving and what happening, noise etc. We may speak with neighbours ourselves on arrival if we feel there is a need, i.e. blocking drives, restricting access etc. as once the pump is set up we are unable to move until supply is complete.

Is there any other charges?

This is dependent on what you require on site. Normally the price quoted is the price you pay, but if you have requested a change once the volumetric concrete mixer vehicle is on site then these changes will be subject to price changes, i.e. if you have requested fibres in screed, or retarders, water proofer, or a higher mix of concrete once on site; then this will be an additional charge.

Is there a time limit?

There is no charge for the first 30 minutes on site, but is chargeable per hour or part thereof. If you know you will require longer, please telephone the office to discuss.
