Now the feed in tariff has ended, is there any point in solar?
Whilst the feed in tariff may have come to an end, battery storage makes PV even more viable, for most, than ever before. With SEG payments being a great biproduct of choosing an MCS accredited installer, you can also still be paid for the excess energy you send back to the grid.
Do I Need To Tell My Dno About My Solar Panels?
Upto 3.68kw A G98 Notification Is Required Post Install. 3.68kw A G99 Application Is Required Pre Install. If The Dno Deem It Necessary, A G100, Limits The Potential Export Amount From The System.
Why do we oversize panel array to inverter output?
Oversizing the panel array enhances inverter efficiency, optimises power production. Compensating variable weather conditions, maximising overall energy yield.
Do i need a battery with my solar panel system?
No, solar systems work well without batteries. Batteries increase overall self- sufficiency by allowing you to store your own generated power for night time. They also allow you to force charge with cheap rate electricity.
Do all solar systems export to the grid?
If the power being generated isn't needed within the house, and your battery's are charged, the power will export to the grid, providing no limits are put in place by the Dno.
