Will I get paid for sending electricity back to the grid?

As JSM are fully accredited with MCS, we can provide all the relevant certificates needed to allow you to gain your feed in tariff from your energy supplier. Once you have done this, any excess electricity you send back to the grid will be paid at the rate set up by your supplier.

Does the system only work in direct sunlight?

No, with modern monocrystalline panels, with a much higher efficiency, more of the suns light is captured, even on overcast days. Also, with the use of optimizers, any shading will not impact the efficiency of the system.

Do I need to be South facing?

No, although south facing is the optimum positioning as the system will then have the most sunlight available throughout the whole year. With careful design, using our advanced software, we can generate information that will highlight if a system is positioned for maximum benefit and efficiency throughout the year.

How does the system work?

The sun light hits the PV panels which generates DC electricity that then flows to the inverter. The job of the inverter is to then convert the DC energy into AC electricity that can be used in our homes. Alternatively, we can send the DC energy into a battery storage which can then be used overnight.
