Stump removal of what was a very large mature oak tree of some 200yrs old today in s/w London, Surrey. The oak tree stump had all the characteristics of a mature tree with densely packed annual rings and large buttress formed from what would have been the main stem to allow for supporting such a large crown. Our large stump grinder got to work grinding the stump into a fine wood chip, with multiple teeth changes due to the stump size and species being notoriously hard the stump was removed some 4hrs later. A challenging process and some stress for one of our smaller tracked stump grinders but in all good end result for the customer. The area where the stump once stood is now an area that can be re-planted or landscaped.
