Do you manufacture other types of windows?

We produce the following hand crafted products in timber:- Box sash, sash, casement and French doors and entrance doors We do not produce plastic (UPVC) windows

Will my new windows be painted?

Your new windows will be decorated using seven coats of microporous paint. You can choose your colours with our surveyor when he visits to take exact measurements. We can even give you one colour outside and a different one inside.

Will my new windows reduce heat loss and improve draught exclusion?

Your double-glazed sash windows will be flush-sealed and Argon-filled to maximise insulation and sound-proofing, so you can reduce your energy bills without compromising on authenticity. Our windows are manufactured to maintain a permanent draught free seal.

Will my new windows be guaranteed?

We guarantee the window frames against materials defects caused by faulty workmanship or materials for 50 years. The Guarantee covers the cost of any faulty window frames or parts supplied and installed by us as part of a window complete with sub-frame (or box-frame). The Guarantee covers glass units up to a maximum of 10 years from the date of installation. First 5 years parts and labour coverage Second 5 years covering parts only, the cost to replace them (labour charges) being borne by you

Can you copy my existing window design?

We can manufacture bespoke, hand crafted and perfectly matched curved, bowed, gothic and arched shaped windows that replicate the look of your existing windows and enhance the character of your property.

Sash windows came into prominence in the Georgian era (though they were first introduced much earlier), and they remained popular well into Victorian times. Sash windows consist of one or more panels, or sashes, which slide atop one another to create openings. Most commonly, these panels move vertically – but you can get horizontally-opening sash windows, too. Vertically-opening sash windows are assisted by balancing weights, pulleys and springs, which are hidden within the window frame and assist with opening the window. They also allow the sash to stay in position once the window is opened.
