Boiler Not Working? Due to the sharp fall in temperatures recently we've seen a sharp rise in boiler breakdown calls. In most cases the boilers condensate pipe is the likely source of this problem. Modern boilers are very efficient and need to drain off condensation. When it's cold outside this condensation can freeze in the pipe outside. If it's easy for you to locate this then you could follow these simple guidelines that may save you having to call out one of our friendly engineers. 1. Switch your boiler off 2. Turn off any associated electrics 3. Attempt to locate your condensate pipe, like the one in the pictures. 4. Get warm water onto the pipe (repeat in very cold weather) TIP: Use a watering can or hot water bottle (NEVER boiling water as this could shock the plastic and create an opening) 5. Turn the electrics back on 6. Power up the boiler 7. Press restart or reset Hopefully, that may have solved your issue and you'll have heating and hot water again.
