This is one of A1 All Clears projects from 2007, we were asked to resolve a problem with flooding in a school playground. Due to gradient issues there was no gravity drainage within the area to remove surface-water from the playground.nAfter undertaking feasibility studies we confirmed a pump system would be required to pump the water to the nearest gravity drain on site.nThe works began by installing a silt gully at the lowest point in the playground. This was then diverted to a new concrete pump chamber, pumped the surface-water 40mtrs to the existing drainage system.nAll installation work was back-filled, consolidated and tarmac reinstated to permanent standard.nnThese works were carried out in 2007 leaving the school problem free ever since.
