How much will I pay for your services?

Each job is unique, therefore, our work is priced based on your specific needs. Factors such as materials, labour, time duration and complexity will be determined to calculate a no-obligation quotation. However, we always aim to keep our rates as low as possible.

Do you lay brick or gravel driveways?

We are tarmac and asphalt suppliers and do not provide alternative driveway options. Tarmac and asphalt driveways are timeless, low maintenance, affordable and extremely hard-wearing. The perfect addition to any home.

When can I USe My New Driveway?

Tarmac will need at least 48 hours to set before a vehicle can be driven on it, to avoid indentations. Therefore, it may be wise to plan alternative parking arrangements while we install your new driveway. We will advise you on how to properly care for your new drive once it has been laid.

Where do you operate?

SS Surfacing Ltd are based in Exeter but we operate throughout Devon and Cornwall. So, no matter where you are based give us a call for competitive rates on your resurfacing project.

What is the difference between tarmac and asphalt?

Tarmac uses tar to bind the aggregates, whereas, asphalt uses bitumen. The final results are very similar in appearance, though asphalt is more stain resistant and hard-wearing. Meanwhile, tarmac is more cost-effective and scuff resistant. Asphalt is also more environmentally friendly as bitumen is an oil by-product which is repurposed for sturdy road surfacing solutions.
