So what exactly is the “Pure Water” used in Pure Water Window Cleaning?? Tap water? Boiled water? Distilled water? – Pure Water is tap water that has been passed through many different filters in order to remove the impurities found in tap water. These impurities don’t harm us, but when it comes to cleaning windows, they are the enemy! Let’s just think about the traditional window cleaning method; the type that requires a ladder, squeegee, mop and bucket of soapy tap water. Traditional window cleaners use plain tap water and they can still clean your windows really well, because traditional window cleaners always, and I mean ALWAYS squeegee the water off the glass, in essence drying the glass before they leave. If they were to leave the glass wet with tap water, as that water evaporated off the glass, all the impurities found in that water, (calcium, phosphates for example) would remain on the glass and produce unsightly white marks and spots all over it. Arguably, a window cleaned with tap water and left to dry naturally will look worse after the clean than before. Pure Water on the other hand, because it contains no impurities can and is left on the glass at the end of the clean to evaporate naturally, drying to a clear and clean finish.
