A sailor's wish. Clients normally purchase wallpaper for us to install, however this time we were asked to install 6 used nautical maps of the island in a cloakroom. Sections of the maps were cut differently then randomly arranged on the wall to the client's specification. This truly was an unusual project to test the versatility of Paul! To give the maps the best possible chance of success, like all of our projects, the preparation of the wall was key, so sanding and priming prior to installation was essential. The final challenge was the installation itself. Not knowing what type of paper the maps were printed on, we had to ensure we gave the paper a suitable soak time to avoid shrinkage and expansion problems once installed. This worked and the client was absolutely delighted with the end result.
