A wallpaper installation of Milton & King Marble Swirls in blue by Bethany Linz, in a powder room of a recently restored Victorian home by Stella Developments. Due to the intricate pattern and the installation being on both the stepped ceiling and walls, it required a great deal of mapping out prior to the install to ensure the swirls continued the same way and was a continual pattern without showing any break. The shell scalloped tiles required intricate and precise cutting to give the illusion that the tiles had been installed over the wallpaper to keep the pattern flowing. Designer Bethany Linz’s favourite pattern from her 2022 Marbling Collection, Marble Swirls wallpaper, is reminiscent of flowing water and wind blowing through the trees. Created in collaboration with Japanese marbling artist Izumi, the collection is inspired by nature and its patterns and has been recreated through the use of traditional marbling techniques. The natural motion of ink in water that has been captured in this flowing stone design will add a sense of movement to a space.
