WRC Recycling Donates £5,000 to Glasgow’s Children Hospital this Christmas Community investment continues for WRC Recycling as the business donates £5,000 to Glasgow Children’s Hospital. The hospital, which opened in 2015 and plays a pioneering role in the development of child-related treatments, is the largest children’s hospital in Scotland which provides life-changing care to children across the country while offering a range of support services for families that are experiencing hospital care first-hand. To sustain ongoing research into less invasive treatment options for children, the hospital depends on charitable contributions from individuals and local businesses. This support enables the team to establish a caring environment for the children receiving treatment. Since its move from Yorkhill in 2015, there have been major investments in the hospital’s infrastructure which have supported the delivery of pioneering initiatives, such as the ‘teddy surgery’, cinema room, and Santa’s grotto, to ensure every patient experiences some form of normality during some of their most challenging times. Robert Capper, Managing Director, said: “The vital work carried out by the staff at the Glasgow Children’s Hospital that supports the advancement of global child health is to be admired and we are delighted to be able to offer our support – particularly at this time of year".
