How long does the online TEFL course take?

The course equates to around 100 hours of training. However, the exact length of time it takes to complete varies from person to person. It depends on how much time you devote to it and how quickly you grasp the content.

Where can I access the course?

The course is compatible with laptops, computers, mobile phones and tablets. So you can learn at home or on the go! You can also download the Litmos LMS app for free and access the course from there. Please note homework tasks must be completed offline and require a desktop. However, don't worry if you don't have the ability to do this, just let us know and we'll be happy to upload your tasks for you.

Do I have to live in the UK to take this course?

The course is online and can be accessed from any laptop, computer, mobile phone, or tablet, which means that you don't have to live in the UK to take the course.

Do I need any books to take the course?

You don't need any books to take the course. The course does present you with recommended reading - including books and websites - which you may want to consider taking a look at.

Is there a TEFL exam?

There are mini quizzes, countdown (timed) quizzes and assessments throughout the course for you to complete. These can be repeated as many times as you wish. Part 10 also includes a final assessment, which can only be taken once. To pass the course, you must achieve 75% on every quiz and assessment. There are also homework tasks for Parts 1-9 of the course. You will be given an exercise to complete offline and upload. These are mandatory, but only graded if you are taking the 120-hour or 150-hour courses, or choose to pay for the Graded Module.
