This small rear extension was completed during 2022, to create a larger kitchen space. The team started by excavating the ground to a metre deep by 600mm wide footing. Once complete, concrete was poured into the footing, with brick and block work to follow. Once the brick and block work was built up and ready for the new timber roof, the old extension to the rear was taken down. The timber rafters then went in, followed by breathable felt, new natural slate, 2 Velux roof windows and new lead work. The roofline work was finished with white facia and soffit, and black half round guttering. Internally we took out an existing wall to really open up the kitchen space (we’ll add an internal photo once the kitchen units are finished by the customer). We fitted some new stud work to alter the layout of the adjacent hallway and downstairs toilet area too. The job was complete when the glass corner door and windows arrived.
