We have just had our new stove fitted by Don from Barefoot stoves and we couldn't be happier. From the initial quote to the finished installation Don worked tirelessly to make sure that we were well looked after and he did the most fantastic job. Not only was his quote the most competitive that we received (and we received many) but he navigated around replacing a complicated existing very old installation in a National park where there are now many restrictions and where the interior and exterior look is paramount. Other contractors who visited were thrown by this and made us feel uneasy by the work involved but Don took it all in his stride with his multitude of skills and delivered the best service we could've ever wished for. Chimney swept, fireback removed and replaced with heat resistant boarding and flue fitted complete with cowl to stop pigeons and rain.
Great work installed a log burner at very late notice for us just before Christmas, worked hard to help us out and did a really good job.
Installation was a smooth, tidy process and am very glad of the stove as it gets colder.
They arrived on the day that they promised, finished within the period that they promised, the quality of the work was exceptional, they protected everything before they started, they kept us fully informed along the way and because they didn't have to do all of the work that they thought they would need to, they offered us an appropriate credit without even being asked.
Don was really helpful in shaping the design, offering helpful solutions and alternatives, adapting the build to meet our final requirements.
