Nobby the Sweep
An absolute life saver. Nobby really is. We asked for our chimneys to be swept and Nobby discovered the chimney and back plate was not properly sealed to the woodburner. More accurately it had no sealing at all meaning that lethal carbon monoxide gas was seeping back into our lounge whilst we fell asleep in front of our woodburner watching the TV. We have now fitted Carbon Monoxide alarms by the open fire and woodburner and our Gas Aga range and urge everyone to fit a carbon monoxide alarm and get your chimneys and woodburners regularly checked. Gone are the headaches and faintness , we had been fealing so unwell and we are now safe in the knowledge we are free from Carbon Monoxide poisoning and can safely enjoy the warmth and glow from our woodburner.
