British and European Ash and Oak are the most popular choices for furniture because of their strength, suitability and stunning grain, and we offer these as standard options on most of our pieces and they can be finished in a range of options too. We also offer many other wood options, some of which can be seen on our wood options & finishes page, including a range of British Hardwoods, European Hardwoods and North American Hardwoods, which you can commission pieces in or mix and match with. It should be noted however, that all wood species are appropriate for all types of furniture or techniques involved, so we can help guide you through your choices and options. All of our timber is sourced from responsibly managed forests and woodland and will be FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) where applicable. Yes, we can use reclaimed wood for specific projects or commissions where appropriate and available. If you had something specific in mind then you can contact us and we can discuss your requirements.

Yes, we almost exclusively use solid timber for our furniture. We will occasionally use veneered sheet materials such as FSC Birch Plywood for certain commissions where it is appropriate to do so and with agreement from the client.

Most of our furniture from our collections have a standard lead time of 6-8 weeks. Any bespoke customisations and commissions will be on an extended lead time depending on what is required and will be discussed with you at the design stage.

When buying direct from our website you have the option to pay with Klarna and split the cost into three instalments with no fees or interest. If you are commissioning a bespoke piece then we will usually ask for 50% payment up front to secure a position in the workshop schedule, the balance will then be due when the piece is ready to leave the workshop.
