Melamine and MDF are popular for furniture and cabinets, each offering unique benefits and limitations. Melamine is a durable plastic, resistant to scratches, stains, and heat, used in shelves and cabinets. MDF, made from wood particles, wax, and resin, is ideal for indoor furniture and flooring. While melamine can emit VOCs, it doesn’t involve cutting trees. MDF uses wood residuals, minimizing tree cutting, but contains formaldehyde, posing environmental and health risks. The choice between Melamine and MDF depends on project requirements, budget, and desired longevity and appearance.
