We are often asked if we can work off a ladder to save on scaffolding costs. Ladders must only be used where it is safe to do so. If the work is confirmed as low-risk and will take under 30 minutes to complete then it is possible to use a ladder. If the task will take longer it will be necessary to use alternative equipment such as scaffolding. On initial roof survey we not only inspect the roof issue, but also the access around the property and the risks involved in the work. If our quote includes scaffolding, it is required to complete the work safely.
