An update to our post regarding the conversion of a retail unit to a bar and 4 upper floor apartments in Crown Street in Wellingtons conservation area. Works are progressing nicely on site with the strip-out and first fix electrics completed, the joinery work is well underway and the windows have been installed. House Gecko have been involved from the initial appraisal of the site, through the design and planning stage, working with the planner and conservation officer over the finer details to gain planning permission, through to the detail technical design stage to building regulations and the full specification of all items and works involved. The developer/ main contractor is a valued long-standing client who we have worked with on several projects. Very much looking forward to seeing this vision completed, great to know this building will be providing new affordable homes.
