FAQs

What is your availability lead time to complete my home survey?

Our lead time is usually between 1-2 weeks, depending on the availability of our surveyors. If you need a home survey undertaken more quickly, please let us know as we can often accommodate and reschedule.

What is your survey cancellation policy?

We ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you no longer require the home survey. In extreme circumstances, we may need to charge you for costs expended to date, but we will discuss this with you on a case-by-case basis.

Can I speak to the home surveyor?

Yes, we will offer you the chance to speak to the surveyor who surveyed your property after issuing your property report. We prefer to talk to our clients after the issue of the home report because it allows the surveyor time to reflect on the inspection and means that we do not unnecessarily repeat our opinions. It also provides a chance for you to ask questions about things you do not understand.

What are the benefits of working with a local home surveyor?

As local surveyors we are familiar with the area we are working in and have often seen buildings nearby. This means that we can sometimes identify issues which would otherwise not have been apparent. Because we only work locally, we can also provide a personal service meaning there will be no difficulty in reaching the surveyor if you need to speak to them about anything.

Why is it essential to work with an RICS qualified chartered home surveyor?

Our qualified and chartered status means that we are trained and experienced in undertaking surveys. This means we bring a range of skills with us (along with a range of tools) when we undertake a survey so that we can see beyond the obvious. This includes knowing about legislation which affects property so that we can both answer and raise questions with your legal advisors. We are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and our surveyors are members of the RICS. This means that you can trust us to provide a high standard of service.
